Nicosia is a unique city, the capital of two states at once. In 1974, Cyprus was divided into 2 parts, and the capital was also divided with it. The city is divided by the so-called green line. . Nicosia is one of the most ancient cities on the island. The old part is very picturesque. Tourists will see the main highlight of the city – the Venetian Walls and the labyrinth. Here we will see the gates of Famagusta, a city famous for its defensive fortresses, we will see the shopping street and, of course, the Archbishop’s palace. This is a majestic building striking in its beauty. The Archbishop’s Palace is considered the most beautiful structure on the island.
The most convenient way to get from the airport is by taxi. The distance from Larnaca to Nicosia is about 50 kilometers. By bus, it will take at least 1.5 hours. A taxi to Nicosia will take you 40-50 minutes, while delivering you straight to your hotel or other destination.
Larnaca is a small cozy town, which is very much appreciated by tourists who have come to take a break from the bustle of the city, as well as families with children. It is one of the most ancient cities in Cyprus. Despite its size and population of only 85 thousand inhabitants, Larnaca has something to surprise tourists. We will walk along the central embankment, which is considered the most beautiful on the island, and visit the temple of St. Lazarus Tourists will visit the salt lakes, which are primarily known for being a wintering place for pink flamingos.
Limassol is the economic and business center of Cyprus. Most of the administrative institutions, banks, universities, libraries are located here.
